2022 Little 500 Fall Cycling Series

Come be a part of IUSF’s Little 500 Fall Cycling Series taking place October 17-23, 2022. There are three events to choose from: Individual Time Trials, Street Sprints, and Cyclocross. Each event is $15 for veterans only. There are no refunds.
INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIALS
In each heat, one rider will be placed at each of the four turns of the track. From a standing start, at the sound of the horn, each participant will make four complete laps. At the conclusion of the fourth lap, the timers will stop the clock. Riders will be sorted into standings based on their four-lap time.
Date and time: Monday, October 17 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. and Tuesday, October 17th from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Location: Bill Armstrong Stadium
STREET SPRINTS
How about drag racing on Little 500 bikes? Competition will start in the qualifying round. Riders will be slotted into preliminary heats based on ITT time and sprint 200 meters up 7th Street to the Showalter Fountain. The top two riders from each heat will advance to the Round of 32. From there, the top two placing riders in each heat will continue to advance to the championship round. The top two overall riders will race one-on-one in the championship round to determine the Street Sprints winner.
Date and time: Saturday, October 22 from 2 to 7 p.m.
Location: 7th Street by Forrest Ave and the Showalter Fountain
CYCLOCROSS
It’s a relay obstacle course on bikes! Riders pair up into teams of two to complete alternating laps of a preset course. Teams exchange between each lap with the option to use the same bike or two different bikes. Various obstacles include straw bales, stairs, sand, and more! Women and men will each race 12 laps.
Date and time: Sunday, October 23 at 12:30 p.m. (women) and 1:30 p.m. (men)
Location: IU Tailgate fields between Fess and Woodlawn
