Indiana University issued the following announcement on Mar 10.

In response to the rapidly changing situation with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie has issued a university wide letter regarding specific measures in support of the health and well-being of students and others in the Indiana University community. 

A key measure includes temporarily suspending classroom teaching for two weeks following IU's scheduled spring break, which runs March 15 to 22. Students will be taught remotely (not in person), returning to their respective campuses on Monday, April 6. Students are encouraged to travel home during this time period, with course work continuing via virtual teaching. Classroom experiences typically including laboratories and similar settings are being further considered, and more guidance will follow.  

The president's letter also includes directives on international and domestic travel, as well as guidance related to large events.

Given the quickly evolving nature of the outbreak and related recommendations, students, their families and others in the IU community are encouraged to stay informed via a dedicated website, which includes daily updates.
