77 percent of applicants to Indiana University-Bloomington were admitted for fall 2018

At Indiana University-Bloomington, 98 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 50 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Bloomington enrolled 43,503 students in fall 2018, including 33,301 in undergraduate and 10,202 in graduate programs, data shows. 2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

57 percent of undergraduates are residents of Indiana, and 35 percent are residents of other states. 7 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (69 percent) and Asian (6 percent).

The school admitted 77 percent of the 44,169 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 24 percent enrolled.
