Indiana University Southeast Athletics issued the following announcement on Mar 16.
Junior infielder Clay Woeste has been named the River States Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Woeste, a Lawrenceburg, Ind. native, hit .583 with five runs scored, four extra-base hits and eight RBI in two Grenadier wins last week. He recorded a slugging percentage of 1.250.
He opened the week with a 4-for-6 performance against Aquinas College that included two home runs, a double and five RBi.
He was 3-for-6 with a run scored, a double and a stolen base against Lindsey Wilson College.
The Grenadiers (18-1) finished the season ranked No. 12 in the nation. Woeste finished the campaign tied for the league lead with five home runs and led the conference with 15 stolen bases.
