Good Samaritan Society Shakamak Retirement Community Q4 2023’s 2nd largest nursing home in Greene County

In the fourth quarter of 2023, Good Samaritan Society Shakamak Retirement Community stood out as the second largest nursing home in Greene County, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Data shows that the nursing center had a total of 60 beds available, 45 less than the average in Greene County as of the fourth quarter of 2023. They aided an average of 36.8 residents during that period.

Good Samaritan Society Shakamak Retirement Community had an overall rating of 2 from the CMS, which lags behind the average of 2.9 recorded for nursing homes in Indiana.

During the quarter, Health Center at Glenburn Home stood out as the largest nursing home in Greene County, with 149 beds available.

As of the fourth quarter of 2023, Good Samaritan Society Shakamak Retirement Community has spent a total of $17,014 in one fine and suffered one penalty.

In total, there were two non-profit nursing homes in Greene County, Indiana.
